== The Bentley Continental Supersports is the fastest and most powerful Bentley ever. It is the extreme Bentley, a muscular two-seater that delivers supercar performance and a highly focused driving experience. The Bentley Continental Supersports is also the first Bentley capable of running on both petrol (gasoline) and biofuel, pioneering the use of FlexFuel technology in the luxury sector. This represents stage one of the company's commitment to make its complete model range compatible with renewable fuels by 2012. Available worldwide from autumn 2009, the Bentley Continental Supersports will be FlexFuel compatible in the majority of markets from launch with North American cars offering the capability by summer 2010, following regulatory approval. - The Bentley Continental Supersports began as an 'under the radar' project exploring the possibilities of weight reduction on the Bentley Continental GT but with more power and torque. A largely experimental process crystallised over a period of 24 months into an official new car programme, driven by the passion and enthusiasm of a small group of Bentley engineers and designers. The results are dramatic. With 630PS (621 bhp) and new 'Quickshift' transmission that halves shift times, the Bentley Continental Supersports sets new performance benchmarks for Bentley. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds) with a top speed of 204 mph (329 km/h). - Supercar performance is complemented by an array of chassis enhancements including retuned steering and suspension, utilising lighter weight components, retuned dampers and anti-roll bars. Agility is further sharpened by the 40:60 rear-biased torque split for the all-wheel drive system, a wider rear track, bespoke lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels and a unique electronic stability programme. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard fitment, benefiting steering response, grip and ride comfort, while saving weight. Overall, the engineering team have achieved a weight reduction of 110 kg (243 lb) compared with the Bentley Continental GT Speed. - The evolution of the Bentley Continental Supersports' design is very much a case of 'form following function' with new purposeful sculptural forms signalling the engineering changes beneath the skin. For example, the increased power and torque of the W12 engine necessitated additional airflow to the twin turbocharger intercoolers and cooling system. Bentley's designers responded with a purposeful and dramatic style that features large vertical intake apertures and twin bonnet vents. Similarly, new flared rear wings that accommodate the 50 mm (2 inches) wider rear track are designed to emphasise the powerful stance of this ultra-high performance coupe. The resultant Supersports style combines the looks of the iconic Continental GT with a new and distinctive appearance that reflects its more extreme character. ==

Teaser shots for Bentley's new 2010 Continental Supersports have been making their way round the internet for the past couple of weeks, but today Bentley was finally ready to unleash exhaustive details on their new E85-capable 621 horsepower Continental Supersports 2 seat supercar.

The Continental Supersports shares most body pieces and drivetrain architecture with the Continental GT Speed, though both interior and exterior have been beefed up to handle all that extra power. New are larger standard 20 inch wheels with what Bentley boasts are the largest and strongest brakes on any production car.

The Continental Supersports also gets a trick automatically deploying rear spoiler that is completely hidden in the sublime bodywork. Wider track relative to Continental GT Speed models necessitates new flared fenders, and enlargened inlets feed air through the twin-turbocharged air intake system.

E85 ethanol, while clean-burning and mostly eco-friendly, is more corrosive than conventional gasoline. Thus, Bentley has replaced most of the engine internals in its turbocharged W12 powerplant. All the rings, seals and gaskets are unique to the Continental Supersports, meaning a greater focus on extreme performance is possible with this engine.

The Continental Supersports gets a modified version of the AWD system found in lesser Continental models. In this application, the AWD system distributes 40 percent torque to the front wheels and 60 percent to the rear by default. Through the use of electronic locking differentials torque can be reapplied as the situation requires, naturally.

The 2010 Bentley Continental Supersports currently has a release date this Spring, though Bentley says US models are still waiting on regulators' approval to run on the E85 spewing out of North American pumps. The car is adequately engineered, and the British motor company expects full ethanol certification by August.

The Alfa Romeo Competizione is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Alfa Romeo. It was first presented as a concept car at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show and later released for sale for the 2007 model year. Performance: It is fitted with specially developed 20 inch tyres: 245/35 at the front and 285/35 at the rear, fitted on perforated rims in fluid moulded aluminium. The 8C brakes have been called "phenomenal" by Road & Track magazine, with a stopping distance of 32 metres (105.0 ft), when travelling at an initial speed of 97 kilometres per hour (60 mph). The official top speed is announced to be 292 kilometres per hour (181 mph) but it might be higher, with estimations that it could be around 306 kilometres per hour (190 mph) according to the Road & Track magazine. An Alfa Romeo engineer also stated that it is faster than announced top speed.

Pabrikan kendaraan makin kreatif dalam menuangkan ide kendaraan masa depan. Seperti yang dikembangkan Peugeot yang membuat perpaduan antara mobil dan scooter dengan melansir kendaraan konsep HYmotion3 compressor.

Pihak Peugeot menyatakan, HYmotion3 diciptakan sebagai solusi transportasi kota. Mengendarai seperti dalam kabin mobil, namun pada kenyataannya menggunakan basis sebuah scooter. Kendaraan ini memadukan mesin bakar konvensional dengan tenaga listrik. Untuk itu, HYmotion diklaim mengonsumsi bahan bakar sangat efisien, yaitu 51 km/liter, dengan kadar emisi karbondioksida (CO2) 47 gr/km.

Kendaraan dengan roda tiga (dua di depan) ini, berjalan dengan sistem penggerak motor listrik untuk dua roda depan. Sementara roda belakang ditenagai dengan mesin konvensional. Kombinasi kedua mesin yang menggerakkan seluruh roda ini, menjadikan HYmotion3 sangat irit namun bertenaga.

Peugeot memang mengadopsi berbagai teknologi mobil dan motornya untuk digunakan pada HYmotion3. tak banyak yang tahu, bahwa sebenarnya produsen kendaraan Prancis tersebut memiliki usaha Peugeot Motorcycle yang juga memproduksi scooter.

Untuk membuat HYmotion3, Peugeot mengadakan serangkaian penelitian pasar mengenai apa impian orang terhadap model kendaraan masa depan. Akhirnya didapatlah sebuah kesimpulan, yaitu memadukan antara kenyamanan, kecepatan, kelincahan, serta pengehematan bahan bakar.

Meski beroda tiga, HYmotion3 memiliki kestabilan, keamanan, serta kenyaman saat dikendarai. Lebarnya yang hanya 82 cm, memungkinkan kendaraan ini bermanuver di kepadatan kota. Penutup yang memanjang dari depan hingga belakang, melindungi pengemudi dan penumpang dari panas dan hujan.

Motor listrik yang dihasilkan dari baterai mampu menambah tenaga sebesar hingga 6 kW untuk kedua roda depan. Kombinasi mesin hybrid dan konvensional mampu menghasilkan tenaga hingga 21 kW atau setara dengan 29 bhp.

Peugeot sendiri mengaku optimistis dengan masa depan kendaraan jenis ini. Meski belum menyatakan, kapan model produksinya akan mulai dijual, konsumen di Prancis cukup memiliki SIM jenis B. SIM ini relatif lebih mudah didapatkan ketimbang SIM mobil, sehingga pemakainya pun lebih banyak.

A prototype of the provocative Acura ZDX luxury four-door sports coupemade its world debut at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. The production version of the dramatically styled prototype goes on-sale in the fall of 2009. The segment bending Acura ZDX Concept features stunning coupe-like styling with the added benefit of a commanding presence and flexible utility.

"The Acura ZDX is truly a luxury performance coupe - plus," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "The emotional coupe styling coupled with a luxurious and dramatic interior and surprising versatility, allows the ZDX to define its own segment and attract an entirely new customer."

The Acura ZDX Concept is designed to break new ground for Acura in the areas of provocative styling, contemporary luxury and meticulous refinement. With its sensuous curves, sharply raked roofline and bold fender flares, the Acura ZDX Concept blurs the distinction between coupe, sedan and sport utility vehicle. Clean, flowing lines start from the headlights and run the length of the car, accentuating the cars presence and grace. In keeping with the coupe-inspired styling, the rear door handles are cleverly concealed in the C-pillar. The all-glass tailgate opens wide to reveal a highly functional cargo space with integrated under-floor storage. The prototype is finished off with stylish dual chrome exhaust outlets and 9-spoke machined wheels fitted with 20-inch Michelin tires.

"From the very first sketch of the ZDX, I wanted to create an emotional vehicle that challenged conventional thinking of what a sports coupe should be," said Michelle Christensen, Acura ZDX exterior designer. "My goal was to create a strikingly beautiful exterior, and use that attraction to help draw you into the rich interior."

Inside, the Acura ZDX Concept exudes modern luxury while focusing on pampering the front passengers. The cabin is enveloped in leather, which gives the interior a luxurious and inviting feel. The hand-stitched leather dash and instrument panel sweep down to form a dual cockpit layout, creating a personal and intimate experience for the front seat occupants. The premium leather seats are highly bolstered to support the passengers during sporty driving and at the same time provide comfort during a long getaway. A black monochromatic center stack leads to the textured metallic center console, which complements the black and pearl white leather trim. The thick leather wrapped steering wheel provides ample grip and is framed by racing-inspired paddle shifters for the ultimate in driver control. The cabin is enclosed by a panoramic glass roof which runs the entire length of the vehicle, providing occupants with a breathtaking view of the world around them.

The production Acura ZDX will bring a new level of prestige and sophistication when it arrives at Acura dealerships in the fall, offering the latest advancements in performance, technology and safety. The ZDX will deliver sports sedan performance on the road with its powerful V-6 engine mated to an all-new, smooth shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. The potent powertrain will be coupled with Acura's exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system, giving the ZDX outstanding handling and cornering capabilities in all-weather conditions.

- The RSX Concept first made its debut at the 2001 SEMA show and is updated to reflect the significant changes made to the Acura RSX for 2005. The Concept RSX features a chassis that has been widened five inches compared to stock, with an aggressive body styling kit, fender flares, carbon fiber front and rear spoilers and HID headlights. It boasts racecar suspension tuning, large 19-inch "black chrome" wheels, prototype Michelin F1 tires and Brembo brakes. Inside, fully customized interior features carbon fiber accents, a race-style instrument panel and custom gauge cluster.


- Acura unveiled the TSX A-SPEC Concept at the 2005 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This extensively modified TSX is a unique project built to explore the next level of performance accessory possibilities for Acura's popular sedan.

Based on the TSX sport sedan, the one-of-a-kind A-SPEC Concept is aggressively styled with wide fenders, custom 19-inch wheels and Pirelli tires that combine to increase the track by 0.8 inches (20 mm). The front and rear fascias have been redesigned for improved ventilation and downforce. Air is directed under the car with two-part carbon-Kevlar underbody diffusers and the new rear bumper incorporates dual center-mounted exhaust pipes. On the trunk is a custom carbon-Kevlar rear spoiler. The side sills are extended and the headlights and taillights are revised to blend with the A-SPEC Concept's unique styling. Suspension changes include A-SPEC performance springs and shocks along with oversize Brembo brakes. These track-tuned pieces are designed to enhance the TSX's handling in demanding conditions. The custom exhaust and intake systems combine to increase horsepower and torque and give the TSX A-SPEC Concept thrilling engine and exhaust notes.

Inside, the TSX A-SPEC Concept boasts race-ready Recaro seats. The front and rear seats are upholstered in premium black leather with suede inserts. Aluminum accents on the dash, steering wheel and shifter combine with carbon-Kevlar panels on the doors and center console for a high-tech, purposeful look.

AUDI R8 V12 TDI Concept

Does the world need the Audi R8 V12 TDI, a supercar powered by diesel? We love the regular Audi R8. It’s our 2007 performance car of the year, with sublime steering that belies its Ingolstadt roots, and one of the best gearboxes around. That high-revving 4.2-litre V8 sounds wonderful and the quattro system juggles all-weather security with rear bias for tail-out action. How could you want any more? Well, there is a V10 version coming in 2009...

But over the past few years Audi has sought to fill every conceivable niche. Welcome then, to the Audi R8 V12 TDI, the world’s first diesel production supercar. Yes, it's a concept car for now, but Audi is seriously debating the future of this car.

Hold on, did you say Audi R8 V12 TDI?
We did indeed. Underneath that stunning bodywork sits an oil-burning engine. The car was first unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show at the start of 2008 in a shade of silver. Since then it’s been repainted red and now CAR Online has been to Miami for a drive of this rather special concept car.

The job of the R8 V12 TDI is two-fold. For one, it is designed to showcase the Hungarian-built V12 TDI engine. At six litres it easily surpasses the 5.0-litre V10 that sits in the nose of Volkswagen's Phaeton and Touareg. The new V12 will be available in the Q7 from later in 2008, will probably be in the next A8, and maybe, just maybe in the R8…

That’s right, the second reason for the R8 diesel concept is to preview a production car that is currently 50:50. But that’s without taking into account the influence of a certain Dr Ferdinand Piech, the man who insisted that the impossible be made reality with the Bugatti Veyron.
